In an interview with IHA during the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Istanbul, Latvian President Valdis Zatlers asserted that despite its destructive consequences, the ongoing global economic crisis offers a great chance for creative action to reshape the existing business environment.
“We all recognize the global world is in financial crisis. There is a slowdown. The slowdown is deepening, not recovering. So, it is an illusion that any country will be excluded from this process, will not suffer consequences of this financial global crisis and slowdown of the world economy. …. In a crisis, there are also chances for creative actions. It is a chance to be successful in reshaping the existing environment of business. People must take these chances,” he said.
